The Report of the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
2011年4月20日
On March 11, 2011, researcher Yasuhiro Yoshikawa experienced the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake first-hand when he was at Tohoku University in Sendai City on a business trip.
After spending the night wrapped in a blue plastic sheet in an evacuation center that was rattled by continuous aftershocks,
he managed to return home to Sapporo safely late at night on March 13 thanks to the kind help he received from many people.
This report summarizes the variety of problems faced by Yoshikawa as somebody caught up in the earthquake, and aims to offer support to the disaster's many victims.
Sincere condolences are offered to the families of those who lost their lives and people otherwise badly affected by the earthquake.
